Stroytransgaz Completed Construction of Condensate Pipeline in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area

Stroytransgaz has completed construction works for the “Condensate Pipeline Infrastructure Development in Section 1 A of Achimov Deposits of Urengoy Oil and Gas Condensate Field. The Second (Reserve) Line”.

The purpose of 35-kilometer pipeline is to pump stable gas condensate. The project Customer was Achimgaz CJSC (which is a joint parity-basis enterprise (50% for each party) of Gazprom (OAO) and Wintershall). The project is a part of the largest onshore oil-gas-condensate field development. The recoverable resources of the Urengoy Oil and Gas Condensate Field are estimated at nearly 7 trillion cubic meters of gas.

The project included the construction of pig launchers and receivers, block valve units, cathodic protection facilities, access roads, condensate heating site, blowout and fuel gas pipelines, and power supply facilities.

The condensate pipeline and auxiliary facilities are located at Purovsky district of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area, Tuymen Region. The works were executed in extremely severe weather conditions, as far as this region is known for the solid expansion of 22 meter-deep frozen soils, extreme inland climate with severe and long winters and stable frost lasting up to 200 days a year. In spite of severe climate, the condensate pipeline has been successfully constructed, tested, and commissioned.

In 2011, Stroytransgaz won the tender for the further development of the same section, which includes the development of five wells clusters and auxiliary infrastructure construction. Currently, the company carries on the works on the project.
