STG student team recognized as best construction brigade

On September 20-21 in Sochi, the STG student construction brigade Sila Toka (“Current Force”) was awarded the Best Construction Team of 2013 at the closing ceremony of the Student Power Construction Season. The team was involved in the construction of the double-circuit 220 kV HL Tataurovo-Goryachinskaya-Barguzin with the 220-kV Goryachinskaya substation. This project is being executed under the close supervision of the Governments of Russia and the Buryat Republic as well as PJSC FGC UES and PJSC CECM UES.

Alexander Arbidan, Team Leader of Sila Toka received the award from Oleg Budargin, CEO of JSC Russian Grid.

STG employed 150 students from 7 leading power construction universities of Russia in its projects under the FGC UES contracts. Andrey Ivanov, Director for Energy Construction Projects Support also leads the STG working group for forming construction brigades.

Oleg Budargin also cited the STG management and staff for organizing the student brigades in the summer 2013 and specifically Vadim Gurinov, STG General Director, Vladimir Krouglov,Tataurovo-Barguzin Project Director, Pavel Smolyanov, Chief Expert, and Alexandra Bezfamilnaya, Chief Specialist.
