STG Group completed the second stage of Yenisey substation construction

STG Group completed the second stage of construction of Yenisey 500 kV substation. PJSC STG is the General Contractor. JSC FGC UES is the customer.

Yenisey substation is being built in the industrial area on the outskirts of Krasnoyarsk. The project is realized in stages. The first stage was completed in March 2013 when 220 kV outdoor switchgear was built and put under voltage.

At the second stage, PJSC STG installed a 801 MVA autotransformer with 267 MVA standby phase in the substation. Construction of 500 kV outdoor switchgear was commenced. Within the project, STG also performs construction of over 30 km of power transmission lines of different voltage (10, 220, 500 kV).

Project completion is scheduled for 2014. At the third stage, STG will put into operation another 801 MVA, power transmission lines will be fully connected to the 220 kV and 500 kV outdoor switchgears completed. After putting Yenisey substation into operation Krasnoyarsk will receive additional 1602 MVA required for the economic development of the central city of the region. In addition, putting the substation into operation will significantly improve the reliability of power supply in Krasnoyarsk and nearby towns.
