STG Group to build a cable line for MOESK

STG PJSC, part of STG Group, won the tender and signed a contract with Moscow United Electric Grid Company OJSC (MOESK) for building a 220 kV “TEC-20 – Kozhevnicheskaya 1, 2” cable line, 7 km in length. The project will be implemented for the needs of High Voltage Cable Networks, a MOESK branch.

Under the contract, STG PJSC will carry out construction/installation and start-up works and provide for delivery of materials and equipment. The construction route will run through four Moscow districts – Akademichesky, Gagarinsky, Donskoy and Danilovsky – from TEC-20 power plant in southwestern Moscow to the Kozhevnicheskaya power feeding station under construction. Cables will be laid directly in the ground or in underground ducts. STG will build a great number of enclosed passages totaling 3.6 km in length. These passages will be made without trenching and breaking the concrete base and asphalt topping. The process will use horizontal directional drilling, punching and piercing methods and cable pipelines will be laid underground simultaneously.

The 220 kV “TEC-20 – Kozhevnicheskaya 1, 2” cable line will allow TEC-20’s additional power to be supplied to the 220/110/10 V Kozhevnicheskaya substation under construction, will improve quality of electric power supply of Southern and South-Western Administrative Districts and enable utility connection of new consumers.
