STG Group to build a 110 kV cable line for JSC MOESK City- Maykovskaya substation

PJSC STG, part of STG Group, won the tender and signed a contract with Moscow United Electric Grid Company OJSC (MOESK) for building a 110 kV “City-Mayakovskaya substation” cable line, 7 km in length. The project will be implemented for the needs of High Voltage Cable Networks, a MOESK branch.

STG will carry out construction/installation works and pre-commissioning activities and provide for delivery of materials and equipment. Construction completion date – December, 2016.

The construction route totaling around 7 km in length will run from Moscow-City business center on Presnenskaya embankment up to Mayakovskaya substation located at 3d Tverskaya-Yamskaya street.

Cables will be laid both in the ground and in underground ducts. STG will build enclosed passages totaling 1 km in length, without trenching or breaking the concrete base and asphalt topping. The process will use horizontal directional drilling, punching and piercing methods and cable pipelines will be laid underground simultaneously.

The 110 kV ‘City-Mayakovskaya substation’ cable line will allow for additional power to be supplied from Mayakovskaya substation, will improve quality of electric power supply of Central Administrative District of Moscow and enable utility connection of new consumers.
