Reconstruction of 110 kV Drozdovo-Gorenki aerial line was completed ahead of schedule

PJSC Stroytransgaz, which is a part of the STG Group, completed the reconstruction of 110 kV Drozdovo-Gorenki aerial line in Noginsk District, Moscow Region, ahead of the planned dates. The project was implemented under the investment program of the Eastern Branch of OJSC Moscow United Electric Grid Company.

The scope of work of STG included the replacement of poles and wires, installation of fiber-optic communication line, and making an approach line to Drozdovo and Gorenki substations. The section length is 10 km.

Under the contract, STG had to complete the project in July 2014. Due to advancing the pole mounting to September 2013, the company has managed to reduce the projected time significantly, completing the main construction work in December last year. As early as in March this year, the fiber-optic communication line (FOCL) was enabled.

The planned replacement of poles and power lines on the Drozdovo-Gorenki line section is provided for in the long-term investment program of OJSC Moscow United Electric Grid Company for 2012-2017. This section was built as long ago as in 1926 and needed reconstruction.
