STGM completed the project for construction of commodity bases at SIBUR’s Tobolsk site

 STGM LLC, a member of STG Group completed the project for construction and reconstruction of commodity bases (CB) “North” and “South”. The works were carried out at the Tobolsk industrial site within the project for expansion of Tobolsk-Neftekhim gas fractionation units.

At the first stage STGM constructed facilities in the territory of South CB, i.e. a rack crossed by the product pipeline, tank car loading and unloading rack, and then 2.5 km of railway sidings. This transport chain supplies NGL from South CB to tank cars for dispatch by railroad. South CB was commissioned to the customer in December 2013.

At the second stage of the project STGM ensured reconstruction of two isothermal tanks of 20 thousand sq.m each at North CB. The task was to construct the relevant facilities, installing all engineering systems and utilities for the entire infrastructure of the CB to function. STGM constructed joint control room, pumping room, refrigeration unit, antifreeze heating and NGL pumping unit, flame-type heater installation, etc.

STGM’s works also included installation of intershop communications and utility pipeline, electricity supply and communication systems, water supply and sewerage pipelines. Moreover, the company ensured railway sidings and internal motor roads. Special attention was paid to the fire-fighting system to include a new foam fire-fighting unit, fire-fighting pumping room and two reservoirs.

Implementation of this project allowed expanding Tobolsk-Neftekhim storage facilities within the framework of implementation of the project for expansion of the gas fractionation units from 3.8 to 6.6 mln t per annum.
