STG LLC completed reconstruction of the main rout of M-9 Baltia federal highway

Stroytransgaz LLC, a member of STG, opened traffic at the 48 to 50 km section of M-9 Baltia motor road. STG expanded the road up to three lines to each direction and reconstructed two overpasses. Therefore, the company completed construction works at the last section of the main rout of the highway.

The works included installation of barrier railing, road topping, construction of a drain system. Currently, in cooperation with the general contractor Transstroymechanizatsiya LLC, construction of a junction with the Small Moscow Ring Road is almost completed.

Within the framework of this project the company is to reconstruct ten overpasses to the total, and the last one is almost completed. “At 49 km of the highway where the steel bridge over Novorizhskoe Highway is located, merely laying of the upper asphalt layer and landscaping is to be completed. The works are to be finished by the end of this year,” Head of Project Control Department of STG LLC Aleksandr Rozov says.

The construction subcontract for participation in the “Reconstruction of the motor road M-9 Baltia” project was made with IFSK ARKS LLC in November 2011 with the Customer Tsentravtomagistral FKU and General Contractor Transstroymechanizatsiya LLC. Within the framework of this project STG performs complex construction and assembly works at M-9 Baltia section of the highway from the Moscow Ring Road to the Small Moscow Ring Road (km 17+910 – 50+016).

Stroytrangaz LLC was established in 2013. Within STG Group, the company specializes in construction of infrastructure facilities, first of all, in the area of road infrastructure (motor roads, railways, bridges, tunnels).

610 km long M-9 Baltia federal highway (Novorizhskoe highway) goes from Moscow through Volokolamsk and further through the territory of Tver and Pskov regions to the border with Latvia.  The route renovation project provides for making the road condition compliant with its normative status, as well as increasing the number of lanes that will increase the capacity of the route in the congested areas. As a result of the renovation, Novorizhskoye highway up to the Krasnohorskaya interchange will have ten lanes (5 to each direction), farther - up to the crossing with the Small Moscow Ring - eight lanes (4 to each direction). The maximum speed on the highway will increase to 120 km/h.
