STG PJSC signed the State Contract for the construction of a stadium in Volgograd for the 2018 FIFA World Cup

Stroytransgaz PJSC, part of STG Group, signed the State contract with the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation for the construction of a 45,000-seat stadium in Volgograd.

According to the contract, by November 26, 2017, STG shall fully complete the construction and assembly works for installation of a multipurpose sports complex in Volgograd, which will be home to the 2018 World Cup. Total value of the contract amounts to RUR 16,211 bn.

At the present time, STG has almost completed the dismantling of the Central Stadium. In December, the Company will proceed with construction of a new facility, and start the foundation works for a future arena. In situ concrete works are scheduled for the end of Q1 2015.

Design documentation was fully received, and a favorable opinion of the state expert review board was obtained.

"The signing of the State Contract for the construction of a stadium in Volgograd is an important step for Stroytransgaz, a result of the systematic work performed throughout the year. We fully assume our accountability for the result. As of today, STG has started the active stage of the construction works. Everything is proceeding in strict adherence to the schedule. The facility will be commissioned on time," - Chief Operating Officer Oleg Shiryaev said after the signing of the contract.
