PJSC STG commenced construction of power transmission lines for Russian Chinese Thermal Power Plant

Stroytransgaz PJSC commenced construction of an 11.6 km long double-chain branch of the 220 kV overhead transmission line “Yaroslavskaya - Tutaev, Yaroslavskaya - Yaroslavskaya-1”. In Yaroslavl oblast builders installed the first of 48 supports (36 intermediate and 12 angle-tension). The Customer is JSC FGC UES. The price of the contract amounts to almost RUR 1.8 bln.

Within the framework of this project PJSC STG will construct an 29.5 km long double-chain branch of the 220 kV overhead transmission line “Yaroslavskaya - Tveritskaya, Yaroslavskaya - Yaroslavskaya-2”.

New transmission line branches will be connected with the Yaroslavl (Huadian Teninskaya) Thermal Power Plant, being renovated at the moment. The Thermal Power Plant shall ensure supply of electricity via the lines under construction through “Tutaev”, “Yaroslavskaya”, “Tveritskaya” substations to the end users in Yaroslavl oblast. These 220 kV substations are renovated by PJSC STG within the framework of the project, by substituting power equipment and secondary systems.

Among other tasks, Stroytransgaz will arrange fiber optic cable on the 220 kV transmission lines, being constructed and renovated, built into a ground wire with its total length of 103.6 km and carry out works relating to substitution of supports.

PJSC STG is implementing a “turn-key” project: apart from construction and assembly and commissioning, the company performs design and survey works, develops design and working documents, ensuring supply of materials and equipment.

The work completion is scheduled for June 2015.

Additional information:

Yaroslavskaya Thermal Power Plant is renovated by a Russian Chinese Venture. The Chinese party ensures investments into the project in the amount of RUR 20 bln and partial supply of equipment, including one of three turbines and two more turbines to be made in St. Petersburg. All equipment at the new Thermal Power station will be fuel gas. Use of the combined-cycle technologies allows reducing fuel consumption by quarter and significantly reducing emissions into the atmosphere. Commissioning of the facility is planned for October 2015. Hitherto, STG is to build power grid facilities.
