STG PJSC has started cast-in-situ concreting of the foundation of the Nizhny Novgorod stadium

At the Nizhny Novgorod stadium scheduled to be built by 2018 FIFA World Cup cast-in-situ concreting of the main portion of the base plate was started.

The plate is being installed simultaneously in different areas of the pit. The first portion of 207 cub.m of structural concrete was laid by STG on July 17, 2015 in the western grandstand sector of the designed stadium. In total, the foundation construction will require approximately 72,000 cub. m of concrete. The base plate is scheduled to be completed by December 15, 2015.

Specially for concreting needs, Stroytransgaz installed a batching plant 500 meters away from the construction site, within the River Port. The plant’s capacity is 60 cub. m of concrete per hour. To meet construction needs, there is also another plant with a similar capacity three kilometers away from the construction site

Once the concrete has cured, erection of reinforced concrete structures of storeys will be started at completed portions of the foundation.

At the same time, the company is completing installation of piles 30 days ahead of the schedule. To date, more than 8,000 out of projected 9,693 piles have been sunk.
