100 Days From the Start of Construction of Frunzensky Bridge in Samara

In October 2015 JSC Stroytransgaz (STG Group) started preparation for construction of one of the most important infrastructure projects for Samara region, Frunzensky Bridge over Samara River.

Governor of Samara region N.I. Merkushkin has repeatedly highlighted Frunzensky Bridge among the top priority objects. “Given the construction of new microdistrict Yuzhny Gorod, industrial park Preobrazhenka,
Sanorsa Frunzensky Bridge is vital for us”, the head of region said.

On November 20, 2015 an official starting ceremony was held in which Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy in Povolzhsky Federal District M.V. Babich, Minister of Transport of Russia M.Yu. Sokolov and Governor of Samara region N.I. Merkushkin took part.
“I would like to emphasise that in spite of serious economic difficulties we managed to maintain all significant infrastructure projects”, Mr. Merkushkin stated during the construction opening ceremony. “Frunzensky Bridge opens up a list of strategic projects of the Samara Region, which we plan to implement in the near future. In 2018, on the threshold of the World Cup, there will be a six-lane bridge with a roadway breadth over 22 m.”
