PJSC Stroytransgaz started the metal structures installation at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium

Stroytransgaz JSC (STG Group) acting as the general contractor for construction of the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium being built for the FIFA World Cup 2018 started one of the main work sections – steel erection work of the stadium.

At this stage the installation of the secondary structures, which will support the installation of the main structures, started. The installation of the main structures starts in May, according to the schedule and will last by the end of 2016.

Today the construction is being implemented at the elevation of from 16 to 23 meters, on the third floor level. The first floor is fully completed, the first floor is 70% ready.

The works on installation of the on-site utilities for the water and heating supply of the new arena, as well as for waste water and storm water discharge is going on. More than 2 km of the pipeline has been laid. In the middle of April the installation of the on-site utility lines starts (fire safety systems, water supply and water discharge pipeline, ventilation, electricity, etc.). 1100 workers are working at the site, the construction is being implemented day-and-night. 

STG JSC is implementing a full range of measures, providing safety and anti-terrorism security of the future stadium. The construction of the site is being implemented in accordance with the requirements, settled by RF Government Regulation No485 dated May 20th, 2015. Specific requirements are applied to the stadiums being constructed (reconstructed) and placed into service, designed for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in terms of compliance to access control procedures and other requirements to their safety and protection.
