STG JSC enhanced security at the construction site of the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium

STG JSC is implementing a full range of measures, providing safety and anti-terrorism security of the future stadium.

The construction of the site is being implemented in accordance with the requirements, settled by RF Government Regulation No485 dated May 20th, 2015. Specific requirements are applied to the stadiums being constructed (reconstructed) and placed into service, designed for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in terms of compliance to access control procedures and other requirements to their safety and protection.

The safety requirements are implemented by PJSC Stroytransgaz in accordance with the instructions of the regulatory agencies of Nizhny Novgorod region, including Federal Security Service Directorate of Russia, Main Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior, Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service, Russian Federation Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Response.  In December 2015 the abovementioned agencies created a list of recommendations for the security upgrade, which has been fully implemented by STG JSC.

Control over the freight brought to the construction site is implemented by STG applying security equipment (X-ray scanner etc.), the freights are checked for radiative, chemical, biological safety. All the access control points (ACP) are equipped with portable X-ray units, metal detectors, portable gas analysers of explosive vapours, electromagnetic and acoustic field detectors, hazardous liquid detectors, complexes for express detection of explosives and other equipment.

The video surveillance system at the construction site is installed not only around the outside perimeter, but also inside the construction site.

Supervision program over the safety of the construction materials brought to the site, among other things laboratory control of the quality of the resources supplied is conducted if necessary.

STG JSC pays special attention to the fire safety requirements, including requirements concerning temporary buildings and constructions at the construction site.  In particular, flame-retardant treatment of constructions has been implemented, automatic fire-alarm system, as well as the system of alerting people and evacuation management in case of fire outbreak have been installed, and so on.

Strict access control system has been introduced at the construction site both for people and automotive transport.  Factors of unauthorised entry to the site are eliminated. In particular, every ACP is equipped with assisted stopping down of the transport vehicles. In that way, the stadium is being constructed in conditions of maximum security.
