Delegation of volunteers of FIFA World Cup-2018 visited the construction site of the Volgograd Arena stadium

In the framework of the Second All-Russian Forum of Volunteers “Towards the World Cup” which is now taking place in Volgograd a group of volunteers from different Russian regions visited the construction site of the Volgograd Arena stadium.

Children saw the scale of the arena where they will work in two years and the representatives of the general contractor PJSC Stroytransgaz held an excursion and told about the peculiar features of the stadium. Future volunteers were very much interested in operation of the stadium during the World Cup matches and upon its completion. They asked about the location of ticket offices, areas for different categories of fans and sportsmen. After the excursion children went to the conference hall where they could see in detail the model of the stadium and imagine how it would look like by the end of the next year. They sat on demonstration chairs which will be established in the stands and saw the progress of construction in panoramic photos of construction site from the very beginning of works till the present.

After the Volgograd Arena the delegation visited the Mamayev Kurgan.

Within several days of the Forum the representatives of the youth movement will get acquainted with the objects which are under construction in Volgograd for the World Cup - 2018, pass functional training for volunteer candidates, take part in sports and cultural events, visit the places of the war glory and museums of the city, and also meet the Olympic champions.
