PJSC Stroytransgaz has completed the construction of the overpass at the railway platform Firsanovskaya in Khimki district ahead of schedule. The ceremony of launching the traffic on the overpass took place on June 29, 2016 involving Presidential Envoy for the Central Federal District Alexander Beglov, Governor for Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyev and Director General of PJSC Stroytransgaz Mikhail Khryapov.

‘We appreciate the work of the builders who carefully did their job and builded the overpass. It is a large presidential program being implemented at the Moscow road junction: each new overpass comes like a breath of fresh air. We all know that the volume of traffic is growing, the gate being closed most commonly and such overpasss open totally new prospects and conveniences for the citizens,’ Andrey Vorobyev marked the acute significance of the site for the citizens.

Alexander Beglov added, that from now on the life of the district inhabitants is no more dependent on the train schedule: ‘I would like to thank the builders, the government of the Moscow Region for fast and efficient execution of the instructions of the President.’

The overpass in Firsanovka is included into the list of sites, builded within the scope of the governor project “Free Passage” of the program “Our Moscow Neighbourhood”. According to the contractual diagram the commissioning of the overpass was scheduled for the beginning of 2018. PJSC STG managed to cut the project construction term almost by half.

‘The construction of the overpass was implemented by way of two independent spreads from two opposing sides of the railway. The construction did not stop even for a minute, the workers were involved on a double-shift basis - day and night. We engaged the best professionals for the project implementation. These factors helped us to complete the project far ahead of schedule,’ Project Director Pavel Bulkin reported.

The overpass in Firsanovka connected Solnechnogorksy district and Khimki town. Now the road-users will avoid hours-long traffic jams, which were the result of a gate-controlled railway crossing through Oktyabrskaya railway. The longest shut-off period coincided with the peak hour.  The total time of the shut-off of the railway crossing reached 5 hours per day.

The length of the overpass makes up 463 meters, the total length together with the approaches - is almost 2 kilometers. About 19 thousand of cars will be able to pass the overpass with estimated speed about 70 kilometers per hour every day.
