Stroytransgaz PJSC (STG Group) started construction of cast-in-situ reinforced concrete superstructure of the Bannoye Lake bridge. The Bannoye Lake bridge is part of the Frunzensky bridge crossing.

Overnight from July 13 to 14 Stroytransgaz started to cast concrete to install the Bannoye Lake bridge superstructure from pillar 7 to pillar 5. To complete the superstructure 1,600 cub.m of concrete will be required. The concrete mix is delivered by concrete pumps. Concreting will take approx. 20 hours, then the concrete will be curing for 28 days. In future the primary traverse of the road directed to Shosseinaya str. will be laid on the Bannoye Lake bridge.

“Since the start of construction of the Frunzensky bridge a little more than six months have elapsed. Over this time a large amount of work has been done. Specifically, all seven pillars of the Bannoye Lake bridge have been erected, and now we have started to install the superstructure. Thus, we have come to the final stage of construction of one of the structures within the Frunzensky bridge crossing,” said Ruslan Mansumov, spokesman of the Frunzensky Bridge Stroytransgaz’ Project administration.

Meanwhile, pillars of the Samara River bridge are still being installed. There will be eight of them - four in the riverbed, and another four on the banks. Two bank seats are already complete (No. 8 and No. 7). The other six ones are being erected.

Preparation of the road bed for the installation of piles for the third ramp (S-3) at the Shosseinaya interchange is in progress. There will be eight such ramps in total. On the left bank, construction of the main road’s embankment is in progress - the geotextile is being installed to enhance the bearing capacity of the earth embankment base.

On the right bank of the Samara River, the builders are working to complete the ninth ramp. It will pass along the bank of the Samara River and lead to Molodogvardeyskaya and Krupskoy streets. Retaining walls, which have a supporting function, are now being constructed from reinforced concrete to support soil on steep slopes.

The Frunzensky Bridge is being constructed on a 24/7 basis. Approx. 200 construction specialists work at the site in shifts. At nighttime, up to 100 people are working at the site. The construction site is illuminated by light towers and floodlights.

Frunzensky bridge crossing includes the construction of several facilities: a reinforced concrete bridge across the Samara River, a bridge across the Bannoe bog lake and interchanges at Shosseynaya and Frunze streets.
