All of the Supports and Beams now completed by STG on the Tuchkovo Overpass

The 30th of August has seen completion of an essential stage of construction of the railroad overpass at the 4th km of the Moscow-Borodino-Tuchkovo Highway (Ruzsky District). According to the Project Manager Alexander Zhdanov, the Project envisages construction of an overpass with a length of over 420 linear metres.  This engineering structure will be composed of 15 cast-in-situ RC supports and 14 spans made of 168 prefabricated RC beams, ranging in length from 24 m to 33 m.

As at 30 August, all of the 15 RC supports and the last of the 168 RC beams have been mounted. Over 4.5 thousand cubiс metres of concrete were poured to construct the RC supports, while the RC span beams required 3.4 thousand cubic metres of concrete. Meanwhile, engineering structures of the overpass are close to be completed (98 % complete).

Retaining walls are 70 % complete, and the rebuilding and routing of new utilities are 75 % complete. The construction of main section motorways is 29 % complete. The construction of local driveways is 20 % complete.

The Customer is the Main Directorate of Road Facilities of Moscow Region (MDRF MR). The project has been implemented since the beginning of 2015.

Additional Information on the project:

The facility under construction is of high importance. This overpass is on the list of priority facilities to be built under the ‘Free Crossing’ project of the Governor’s Our Moscow Environs programme. When commissioned the project and the new overpass will make it easier for traffic to cross the railroad of the Smolensk direction of the Moscow Railways in the vicinity of Tuchkovo Station located in the same-named urban settlement in Ruzsky District, Moscow Region.

Under the project, STG will build, on a turnkey basis, a 420m long four-lane overpass (two lanes per direction), with access roads to be constructed as fills using RC retention walls, as well as a street and motorway network to link adjacent streets and residential neighbourhoods with the overpass. STG will also re-locate a railroad crossing over the access road of Tuchkovo Construction Materials Plant to a new ordinate.

STG is to carry out additional work on the project’s outdoor utilities, including the rebuilding of telecom networks, water and gas distribution, power grids and overhead power lines, heat supply and outdoor lighting networks. The overpass will be provided with power supply for lighting, storm water drainage system and local surface runoff treatment facilities.

Completion of the project is scheduled for March 2018.
