PJSC Stroytransgaz (STG Group) has completed the construction of the grandstands of the Volgograd Arena. In-situ concreting of both tiers has been completed at all four sectors of the new arena. The laborious works associated with reinforcement and concreting of grandstands beams and folds took 6 months and were completed in line with the schedule. The installation of 64 rows allowing for placement of 45 thousand spectators required 10 thousand cubic meters of concrete.

The construction workers have commenced the finishing works associated with the grandstands and are currently performing the surface grinding and are applying test coatings for the purpose of determination of optimal performance specifications with due regard to the climatic conditions of the region.

At the same time the interior finishing of premises is being performed, including the filling of the ground floor, and preparation works for the installation of internal separation walls on the floors.

The pre-assembly and installation of facade elements represented by white multi-beam steel structures with a weight ranging from 25 to 65 tonnes is in progress – 15% of the facade elements have been already installed. Another Liebherr LR-1350 heavy crane featuring the lifting of 350 tonnes has been engaged in the installation of main steel structures and it will be operating together with Liebherr LR-1750 crane featuring the lifting of 750 tonnes.
