Volgograd Arena, a football stadium, is being under construction at the site of an ex-football stadium called Rotor, near Mamayev Kurgan, where fierce battles of the WWII took place. Almost 300 units of ammunition had been removed from the site before construction works commenced.
Sergei KAMIN, the Stadium Project Director at JSC Stroytransgaz (the EPC Contractor) told us about specifics of the stadium construction, and architectural and technological solutions adopted.
