An article «Pearls of the Volga» that was published in Sport Business Consulting magazine and dedicated to the construction of two stadiums for the 2018 World Cup.

Two stadiums for the 2018 World Cup, which are being built on the banks of the great Russian river, have a lot in common not only due to the Volga but also due to the principles of the general contractor, a respective rich history of the cities and a fast-paced work.

On the one hand, the stadium for the World Cup is a large state order and iconic project. On the other hand, we deal with fixed budget, incredible responsibility and public attention. «For us the participation in preparation for the World Cup is more than a business,» said Vyacheslav Velichko. «Our main objective is to justify the trust of customers and fans. It is a matter of reputation. Half of 140 million Russians are football fans and keep an eye on this game. In 2018, the whole nation and we will be proud of our country, which will hold one of the remarkable world championships in history. Fate has given us the chance to participate in the construction and make our mark».

According to Vyacheslav Vitalievich, such projects can only be accomplished by a solid team of all those who involved in construction, and it is not only Stroytransgaz.

«The team is not only our specialists and contractors, many of which participated in the construction of Olympic facilities in Sochi,» said Velichko. «The team also include FSUE «Sport-In», Design Institute «Arena», ANO Arena-2018 which carries out construction supervision on demand of FIFA, governors of Nizhny Novgorod and Volgograd who personally monitored the progress of work, various departments and many others. In short, the team of state is building the stadiums. We feel support and mutual understanding at every stage and very grateful for that.»

«We are building according to the following principle: «Plan is a Law, Execution is a Duty, Fulfillment is an Honor». Clearly, this is the Soviet slogan but I was brought up that way,» said Vyacheslav Velichko.
