Stroytransgaz has completed the repair of the bridge in Mozhaisk District

Stroytransgaz has completed the repair of the bridge across the Mzhut River near the village of Borisovo in Mozhaisk District. The bridge is located at the 108th km of the federal highway M-1 Belarus. The works have been carried out for 5 months in accordance with the contract and against the order of GBU Mosavtodor. The length of the two-lane bridge is 38 m, width – about 11 m.

As part of the project, STG’s builders reinforced the embankment slopes at the bridge, fixed the location of the roadway relative to the ground surface (longitudinal profile), bridge span structure was raised by about 30 cm. Repair of girders (124 sq.m) and painting of surfaces (360 sq.m) were also carried out. The bridge will last a long time – STG specialists built the most durable bridge. The top layer of the new bridge deck surface is made of mastic asphalt. A mastic waterproofing was carried out to increase the service life. Now the bridge is safe for pedestrians. The total area of the installed protection fence and barrier railings accounted for 256 linear meters.

This is the third of eight bridge crossings which were reconstructed by Stroytransgaz against the order of GBU Mosavtodor. In accordance with the contract, STG will also carry out the repair of the over-crossing at the 35th km of Kashira Highway and the repair of a pontoon bridge across the Moscow River near the village of Cherkizovo.

All traffic on the bridge was completely closed until fully completion of the repair works. STG’s specialists built a road section and a temporary 33-meter steel bridge for detour. A thorough plate-bearing test was carried out prior to the construction to determine the bearing capacity of soil.
