Stroytransgaz Completed Overhaul of Ten Bridgeworks in the Moscow Region

JSC Stroytransgaz (STG) has completed the project for overhauling ten bridgeworks in the Moscow Region by order of the State-Funded Institution “Mosavtodor”. The Value of Work Done under the contract has amounted to RUB 400 mln.

The day before they restored the traffic over the last one of renovated bridges located at the 4.57 km of the regional motorway “Mikhnevo-Lipitino” in Stupinsky District. According to the State-Funded Institution “Mosavtodor”, “the overhaul of the bridge over the Kashirka River finalizes the program for renovation of engineering structures on the Moscow regional motorways covering 21 facilities”.

Within the project scope the STG has overhauled 10 facilities, namely: eight bridge crossings in various districts of the Moscow Region, an overpass bridge at the 35th km of Kashirskoye Highway, which is a part of the large transport junction in Domodedovo, and the 117-meters pontoon bridge over the Moskva River near Cherkizovo settlement. All facilities are commissioned as per schedule, and some of them even ahead of it.

Over the course of renovation works, the STG professionals replaced and reinforced the engineering structure land piers, replaced the bridge decking and asphalt coating, arranged foot walks, barrier and pedestrian railings, and performed other works employing up-to-date technologies and materials which provide for long-term service life of the renovated bridgeworks.

According to the Head of Production Department of Infrastructure Construction Aleksander Rozov, successful completion of this project is another stage within the framework of prospective cooperation of the STG and Mosavtodor, which has been developing since 2014 in three areas, i.e. road engineering structures maintenance, road marking and its renovation, and overhaul of bridgeworks. Over the years the STG has proven itself to be a reliable general contractor developing projects to a good quality and within contractual timelines.  The Government of the Moscow Region plans to invest in development and repair of the regional transport infrastructure. The tenders for development of the Mosavtodor further projects will be held in 2017 with the STG participating.
