STG has begun the construction of the overpass on the highway Moscow - Dmitrov - Dubna Road works in the first section

JSC Stroytransgaz continues to work on the construction and reconstruction of one of the busiest highways of Greater Moscow Area – A-104 “Moscow-Dmitrov-Dubna”.

STG’s expert Dmitry Militsky told about the progress of the project: “At this stage we have begun the construction of a two-level interchange at the intersection of Dmitrovskoye and Rogachevskoye Highways. The length of the overpass will be 108 meters. In addition, we are building retaining walls, pedestrian overpasses, as well as noise screens.” It is planned that STG specialists will begin to restore a 24-meter bridge across the bay of Klyazma Water Reservoir in July 2017, when the fishing ban is lifted.

During the project execution, construction and reconstruction of 5.4 km of highway will be carried out in two sections which are separated by Klyazma Passage: 4.6th km of A-104 and 0.8th km of Rogachev Highway. First section (km 23 + 1019 - km 25 + 290) begins at the village of Gribki, Mytishchi Urban Settlement, second section (km 26 + 1 080 - km 29 + 786) passes through the city of Dolgoprudny. STG will expand the highway from 4 to 6 lanes (3 lanes in each direction) and will build additional lanes for exit ramps leading to the adjacent areas.

STG’s scope of work also includes:

  • Renovation and construction of minor engineering structures and conduit pipes;
  • Installation of lighting, metal guardrails, and noise screens;
  • Relocation of existing utility networks and construction of new ones (water pipeline, sewer, communication lines, power lines and gas pipelines).

After completion of the main works we will carry out the landscaping and development of the infrastructure of the reconstructed highway, in particular we will plant 227 trees, 365 shrubs and 767 linear meters of hedge. Reconstruction will improve traffic situation in this section of the highway the capacity of which has almost reached its limits in recent years. Completion of the project is scheduled for the end of 2018.
