The STG’s Navigator named among three best charity projects

The Charity Vocational Guidance Project Navigator carried out by JSC Stroytransgaz in 2016 in Volgograd Region has been named among three best social projects in southern Russia. It was announced following the results of the VIIth Regional Award for Public Relations Development “Silver Archer-South”.

About 100 projects were submitted for the Silver Archer-South Award competition. Applications were filed from Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Sochi, Stavropol, Grozny, Simpheropol and other cities. Total of 19 projects in five nominations came to the final for public defense. The expert jury primarily evaluated the achievement of the stated goals and media efficiency of the projects, as well as their social significance.

The STG spokesperson Evgeniya Novosad told the experts about the Navigator project, specifying that it had become an additional efficient tool for vocational guidance of 120 orphaned children in Volgograd Region. In 2016 a series of vocational guidance events including educational tours to the Volgograd Arena construction site were organized by the STG efforts, under “Making the Future Together” slogan, supported by Regional Committee for Youth Policy.

“Stroytransgaz is willing to share experience”, said E. Novosad speaking to the professional community during the project defense. “We hope this initiative will carry on not only with the STG, but with other companies as well. It is within anyone’s power. The positive trend has already taken off. For example, the orphaned kids visited Rostov Arena Stadium under construction. The event was organized by the general contractor. There are also Head Hunter and NPO Labour Market Experts jointly working to bring the children-oriented vocational guidance activities to the system level”.

Upon the expert jury decision, the Navigator was shortlisted among three leaders in the nomination for Best Project for Social Communication and Charity.

The STG Press Service thanks the management of Stroytransgaz and all employees of the company who helped to realize the project: the Head Office staff, including Legal Department headed by Vladimir Sibirev, our lawyer-colleagues Elena Ivanyuk and Dmitriy Laptev who volunteered during the festival. We’d like to express our deep gratitude to the professionals in Volgograd, in particlular, the Head of Construction Sergey Kamin, Aleksander Meshcherskiy, and Kirill Vakulenko. We also thank Vladimir Efremov and Maksim Teteryatnik who arranged for the children to have a tour of the Construction Quality Laboratory. The renown of the Navigator is our common achievement. The history of the STG as a social citizen carries on.
