Over 25 foreign students and intended volunteers of the FIFA World Cup 2018 visited the construction site of the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on March 14. The guests from Nigeria, Angola and Algeria, representatives from the Great Britain, France and Colombia were among the first foreigners at the future arena of the World Cup and got impressed with what they had seen.

The participants stepped out onto the football pitch and went up to the second floor of sector D where they could feel like spectators. The students appreciated the scale of the arena, and noted the excellent view of the pitch even from the outermost stand sectors.

Jimmy Junior May, a Nigerian student studying at Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod, shared his impressions: “I am happy to come here! Construction progress is very fast, and it’s already clear what a modern and beautiful stadium it will be. I like its appearance, but when inside, one can even feel that festive atmosphere of football which is gonna reign here. Hope the Nigerian national team will get through to the finals of the FIFA World Cup 2018, and play one or more matches on the field!”

In the end of the tour the guests took a group photo against the stadium background, and wished the builders successful finishing of the facility for in the summer of 2018 the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium will become a main centre of the global football event.
