STG revamped Molodezhnaya Substation

JSC Stroytransgas (STG) completed the project for revamp of 35/10kV Molodezhnaya substation in Vyborg District of the Leningrad Region. The project was commissioned by PJSC Lenenergo affiliated to Rosseti.

As part of the project, the Molodezhnaya substation received new transformers to raise its capacity more than twice to 32MVA from 12.6 MVA. The substation has now a state-of-the-art 10kV switchgear.

The upgraded substation offers increased reliability of power supply to consumers of Polyanskoye settlement in Vyborg District of the Leningrad Region.

Revamping the Molodezhnaya substation has permitted to connect 250 new consumers with a total power requirement of 5.2MW, including a farm in Polyanskoye settlement, summer communities and allotment gardens ‘Zolotye Peski’, ‘Privetninskoye’, and ‘Ozernoye’, as well as private residential dwellings. The power supply has a reserve capacity required for future development of the area and connection of new consumers both for individuals and entities.

The retrofitting of the Molodezhnaya substation got underway in 2016 and have been carried out without blacking out the current users. This project has been the first time STG partnered with Lenenergo, continuing its customer diversification strategy. In 2016, Stroytransgaz celebrated 10 years anniversary of its operation in power sector construction. Over the past years the company has delivered a number of projects to FGC UES, MOESK, Mosenergo etc.
