Two thousand seats have been installed at Nizhny Novgorod Stadium

The construction of Nizhny Novgorod Stadium is at full speed. Almost two thousand seats have been installed on the tribunes of the arena which is designed for 45,000 spectators. Specialists have started to mow the lawn on a regular basis and, in parallel, they carry out watering and feeding of grass with mineral fertilizers. This has become known following the results of the 30th anniversary meeting at Nizhny Novgorod Stadium under the guidance of Governor Valery Shantsev.

“On July 19, specialists started to sow a football field and now, three weeks later, the grass is in full swing” – the agronomists have already started to mow the lawn. Currently, we have implemented the necessary complex of agrotechnical measures to take care of the field, i.e. watering and feeding with mineral fertilizers”, pointed out the Governor.

According to the stadium’s Construction Manager Sergey Pichushkin “experts have already mown the lawn four times”. “Now we are going to repeat this procedure every two days to strengthen the root system. In September, it is planned to stich the field with the use of polymer fibre, and the main works on preparation of the lawn will be completed. We have already installed almost 2000 seats. These anti-vandal seats have passed all possible laboratory tests: frost resistance, toxicity, fire safety, wear resistance. Seats of three colours are being installed: white, blue and dark blue” emphasized the Construction Manager.

In parallel, we have completed the works on construction of monolithic structures of the pedestrian overpass-terrace which will encircle the building at the level of the second floor. Landscaping of the territory around the arena is being carried out, premises are being finished, and utility networks are being installed. At the same time, the roofing made out from high-strength translucent polycarbonate is being installed at the stadium.
