STG Has Won in Project Olympus-2017 Competition

JSC Stroytransgaz has won in Project Olympus-2017 Competition in the category “Construction Project Management”. The Company has also become a finalist in the category “Organisation and Activities of Project Offices in State Corporations, Publicly Owned Companies, Commercial and Non-Governmental Organisations, and Development Institutes”. The project implementation practice presented by STG got to TOP-five.

176 applications from 60 regions of Russia and abroad were filed for participation in the Competition. The winners were selected by reputable judges, among which there were representatives of the Russian Federation Presidential Administration, the Central Office of the Government, Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Federal Ministries, experts practising in the sphere of project management in the state and private sectors of the national economy.

The award ceremony was held within the framework of the final conference in the building of the Analytical Centre Affiliated to the Government of the Russian Federation on 22 November 2017. The award on behalf of STG was received by Andrey Ivanov, Director of Project Coordination and Control Department. “This award is a kind of a quality mark which obliges us to work even better, to strive for further development and new victories,” he noted.

Project Olympus has been held since 2014, and in 2016, it progressed to the international level. Its organiser is the Analytical Centre Affiliated to the Government of the Russian Federation supported by the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Education and Science. The general partner of the Competition is PJSC Sberbank of Russia; its partners are a number of entities, including State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects, Project Management Association SOVNET, Russian Branches of PMI (Project Management Institute), and the leading national educational institutions.  The Competition unites the representatives of the state authorities, state institutions and corporations, private business. The main objective of Project Olympus is distribution of the best national and international practices in the sphere of project management.
