STG Completed the Construction of the Lytkarino Junction

JSC Stroytransgaz (STG) completed the construction of a road junction (RJ) in the Moscow Region where the M-5 Ural Federal Highway intersects the Lytkarinsky Highway. The project customer is the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure of the Moscow Region. The total length of the two-level junction with entrances and exits makes 6.8 km, 2.3 km of which is the main route. The facility encompasses three overpasses and an overhead pedestrian crossing with 41 m long.

“We are rescuing Lytkarino from the transport prison,” said Andrey Vorobyev, Governor of the Moscow region, when opening the ceremony on January 12th. He pointed out that Stroytransgaz “has shown itself as a reliable contractor who has never failed on any project”. Andrey Vorobyev highlighted that a total of 19 overpasses (4 of them built by STG) over the railway track have already been constructed in the Moscow region as part of the Presidential Program. A number of junctions have been provided, too. As scheduled, 6 major junctions will be completed in the Moscow region this year.

“Lytkarino junction is a very meaningful facility that was built over three years. STG team worked round the clock at the facility for the last few months and can be proud of successful accomplishment of the task. It’s nice that the new year has started with such a positive event,” commented the event Director of the STG’s Infrastructural Construction Unit Vladislav Pototsky.

Due to the junction, Lytkarino residents, i.e. about 60,000 people, now have a free access to the M-5 Ural Highway. The large techno-logistics complex in the area of Tomilino has attained better transport accessibility, and in the future the junction will become part of the new Lytkarino-Tomilino-Kraskovo-Zheleznodorozhny Highway.

The construction activities were implemented within the Moscow Region State Program titled “Development and Functioning of the Transportation Complex”. The promising capacity of the route is over 67 thousand vehicles per day, and the design speed is 120 km/h.”

From 2013 onwards, STG built four overpasses in the Moscow Region arranged at 33 km of Mozhayskoye Highway at the Perkhushkovo platform, at 87 km of Mikhnevo-Zhilevo crossover in Stupino district, near the Firsanovskaya platform in the Khimki City District, at 4 km of the Moscow-Borodino-Tuchkovo Highway in the Ruza district. These are the achievements within the Governor’s Program “Free Moving”.
