Volgograd Arena Received Favourable Determination by the State Expert Review in Terms of Project’s Technical Concepts

Volgograd Arena received favourable determination by the State Expert Review in terms of Project’s technical concepts. Such an expert review is a validation of design documentation for compliance with the deliverables of engineering surveys and the requirements of technical regulations.

At present, installation and fine finish operations for the low current utility systems of Volgograd Arena have almost come to an end. Sockets, switches and lighting devices are being installed in the finished rooms. In total, there are about 2,000 rooms in the stadium.

The construction activities for the ring road around the stadium have been completed, and the sites for temporary infrastructure have been transferred to the Customer. All landscaping activities to improve the area have come to the finish line: the asphalt mixture is being fitted (there will be a total of three layers). Besides, the slopes near the stadium bowl and in the landscaping area of the entire construction site are formed by 90%. In February, the fertile soil will be delivered here so as to sow grass and plant greenery in the beginning of March.

“In the near future, we are finishing work on a platform with paving tiles in front of the ramp of the pedestrian overpass,” said the construction control expert Boris Gromozov. “In winter, the football lawn requires special care,” said the project’s specialist Dmitry Kuvshinov. “In February, we will turn on the heating, then cover the field with plastic film to keep the lawn in good condition when exposed to bad weather.”
