STG will build a new apron in Perm Airport

JSC Stroytransgaz won the tender and signed the contract for renovating the utility structures of Bolshoye Savino Airport Complex located at 15 km from Perm. The Customer is Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Civil Airports (Aerodromes) Administration”. The project is implemented under the Federal Target Program “Development of Russian Transportation System”.

In accordance with the contract, STG will build a new apron for three aircrafts with an area of 20,315 sq.m, an avantport with an area of 4,200 sq.m and a taxiway with a length of 578 m.

The scope of work as well includes renovation of the existing apron with an area of 11,235 sq. m, taxiway No.3 with a length of 287 m and drainage facilities, dismantling of old and installation of new lighting facilities, arrangement of aerodrome signs and apron lighting.

All the works will be carried out at the new airport terminal having been completed in November, 2017, yet incapable of comprehensive functioning for lack of ground infrastructure. Upon the renovation completion it will become technically feasible to install passenger boarding bridges and accept the high capacity 4-th and 5-th class aircrafts, such as Boeing 667 and Boeing 777. Execution of the project will generally allow increasing the total acceptance rate of Perm air terminal up to 2 mln passengers per year.

The renovation is planned to be completed in November, 2019.
