Superstructure concreting at C-3 junction ramp to Shosseynaya Street has been completed
JSC Stroytransgaz (STG) has completed the overpass superstructure concreting at C-3 junction ramp to Shosseynaya Street as part of the Frunzensky Bridge complex of facilities.

Under the 70.7 m overpass the main way road will be located. The concreted superstructure rests on five reinforced concrete supports having been constructed earlier. The carriageway with a width of 11 m will comprise three lanes. At the final phase of the Frunzensky Bridge construction, the bridge deck will be covered with asphalt surface and lighting and guardrails will be installed.

At the same time incremental launching of the bridge over-water superstructure across the Samara River to its design position is underway. Currently the 9-th (from 11) phase of the launching steel structures (1590 t) pre-assembly is in progress. As soon as all the steel structures are assembles and connected with the already launched superstructure part (5875 t), the incremental launching will be commenced. Upon completion of the next phase the structure with a total length of 536 m (including the auxiliary structure – launching girder) will shift in the direction of the right bank of the river by another 81 m. After completion of all 11 stages of incremental launching, a 559.7 m over-water superstructure will be in its design position between the second and seventh pillars of the bridge.

At the main way road right-of-way (from the side of the Gatnoye Lake) trees and bushes removal and earth bed backfilling is underway. At the section between the Bannoye Lake and bridge across the Samara River the ready earth bed slopes are being strengthened by reinforced concrete slabs.

At transport junction ramp #9 of Frunze Street the retaining walls are being constructed to ensure the stability of slopes of the right bank of the Samara River.

Project Info

The construction project includes erection of the six-lane composite-girder bridge across the Samara River (667 m long with a 22 m wide carriageway), reinforced concrete bridge over the boggy Bannoye Lake (79.6 m long), construction of the transport junction and overpass over the main motorway on Shosseynaya Street, construction of the transport junction and five retaining walls made of cast in-situ reinforced concrete on Frunze Street, and construction of the main motorway. The new motorway will be 2.67 km long. The bridge crossing will connect Samara and Kuybyshev Regions, and it will ensure the flow of traffic in the direction of federal highways M-32 and M-5.

So far, a bridge has been built across Bannoe Lake, all 8 bridge pillars have been erected across the Samara River, and 5 overpass pillars have been erected at the C-3 exit over the main motorway of the transport junction on Shosseynaya Street. The incremental launching of the bridge superstructure across the Samara River is underway, and other facilities of the bridge crossing are being constructed on both banks of the river. The work are carried out in accordance with the schedule approved.
