Stroytransgaz to renew road markings in the Moscow Region

Stroytransgaz JSC has signed works contracts on performance and renewal of road markings in the territories administered by Domodedovo, Kashira, Yegoryevsk, Dmitrovsk, Mytishchi and Ramenskoye Regional Road Administrations of the Moscow Region. The owner of the works is State-Financed Institution “Mosavtodor”.

STG will apply longitudinal road marking lines, install duplicating signs, and construct pedestrian crossings and islands under the agreement. The total length of road sections with markings to be renewed exceeds 8,000 kilometres.

The road marking will be renewed using domestically produced advanced high quality materials, such as special road enamels, thermoplastics and cold plastic materials. All materials will be subjected to quality control at the client’s laboratory.

The road marking is considered to be one of the essential elements of traffic flow safety, engineering and improvement. In addition to reducing accident rate by 30%, road markings help to increase road capacity.

Technical parameters of road markings will comply with all the requirements of design documentation. Warranty period for the markings, depending on materials, will be from six months to two years (6 months for enamels, 1 year for transversal markings and duplicating signs made of thermoplastics and cold plastic materials, and 2 years for longitudinal lines of hot plastic).

All works are expected to be finalized by October 2018. Implementation of this project is an ongoing successful cooperation between Stroytransgaz JSC and State-Financed Institution “Mosavtodor”. Between 2014 and 2017 STG experts delivered a similar work package for application and renovation of horizontal road markings on the roads in the Moscow Region.
