STG Started Overhaul of Dedinovskaya Ferry Site

Stroytransgaz JSC has signed the Contract and already started overhaul operations on the ferry site across the Oka river in Dedinovo village of Lukhovitsy urban district in Moscow region. The customer is the State-Financed Institution MR “Mosavtodor” controlled by the Department for Transport and Road Infrastructure of Moscow Region. The cost of works is 168 bln RUB. Financing is provided by the Road Fund of Moscow region.

Earlier during the survey, it was revealed that the ferry is in the emergency condition, the coating at the junctions is damaged, the berthing facilities ceased to provide safe movement of transport at low water level.

The overhaul by STG specialists includes works on replacement of support of jetties and access ramps, construction of water treatment facilities, reinforcement of banks near jetties constructed of concrete blocks, installation of passenger pavilions and a power line, repair of the road pavement on motorways and sidewalks, and repair of the passenger-and-freight ferry. The repair also provides for purchase of new up-to-date tug boats and life-saving equipment. To enable carriage of passengers and life-saving operations at low water and during freeze-up purchase of an airboat has been foreseen.

Dedinovskaya ferry site is a single fast and convenient way to cross the river for settlement residents. During repair works passengers will be carried by the passenger ferry in accordance with the time-table. Motor traffic has been arranged on the nearest crossings.

The overhaul of Dedinovskaya ferry site is planned to be completed in quarter IV, 2019.
