Mashinostroitel Stadium Rendering
JSC Stroytransgaz is carrying out the reconstruction of the Mashinostroitel central city stadium in Pskov. The customer is the Department of Construction and Capital Repairs of Pskov Municipal Administration.
The Mashinostroiltel stadium in Pskov was built in 1953 for the same-name football club that does not exist anymore. The name ‘Mashinostroiltel’ was preceded by ‘Spartak’ and ‘Trudovye Rezervy’. The sports facility has not been repaired for over half a century; the stadium infrastructure and field surface became unfit for use.
The stadium was built at the site of the city sports playground, i.e. a usual football field with benches. In the period of the Great Patriotic War, the sports playground was used as a tank workshop and as a site where fascists played football in their spare time.
In the post-war era, the Soviet youth began restoring the area, and later these were the Pskov plants that engaged in serious reconstruction and joined their efforts to put the stadium in order. Since then, the Mashinostroitel became the centre of attraction for the Soviet sports fans, professionals and enthusiasts.

In 2019, JSC Stroytransgaz invested in the adjustment of design documents followed by the obtainment of a positive opinion from the public autonomous Institution State Expert Panel of the Pskov Region. The adjustment included the refinement and optimisation of engineering solutions in the context of implementation of the 1st construction phase.
On the 19th of February, Sergey Grakhov, Chairman of the Committee for Construction, Housing and Public Utilities of the Pskov Region, in a live television broadcast of the new project of the Pskovian News Agency named ‘Flame, Water and Pipes’ said, that the Mashinostroitel stadium was not only grandstands and the pitch, but also the under-stand space with locker rooms, training halls, and utilities.
– This is a huge complex, but not merely poled grandstands, he said and added that the Pskov region had not seen such complex construction projects for a long time.

On 9th of April, Mikhail Vedernikov, the Governor of Pskov inspected the progress of the construction in person:
– Finally, the Mashinostroitel stadium has positive changes. 120 people at the facility are a bit fewer than required, but they keep up the pace and have completed a significant amount of work since the beginning of the year. By now, we have completed the erection of administrative building cast-in-site structures, large and small grandstand buildings, the installation of large grandstand roof metalwork, the reconstruction of external heat networks, and the installation and connection of stadium light towers. We have completed the construction of the external water supply and sewage lines, outer walls and internal partitions, and internal and external stairs.
The finishing activities inside buildings, the construction of the internal water supply, the heat and ventilation, the power supply networks, and the roof are all still in progress. In good weather, the workers will start landscaping the stadium and installing the surface of the football field and the running tracks.
The reconstruction activities are currently on schedule. After completion, the Mashinostroitel stadium will be able to host national championship competitions.
According to the adjusted design documentation, the project completion is scheduled in the 3d quarter of 2020.

About the Project:
Pursuant to the contract, STG will erect an administrative building with ticket counters and an entrance group, reconstruct the large and small stands and utility networks. In addition, the large football field with artificial turf and the run tracks will be reconstructed and the adjacent territory will be improved. The under-stand space will accommodate training premises for various sports.
