Video review of the construction of museum and theatre-educational complexes in Kaliningrad

In Kaliningrad JSC STG continues the construction of museum and theatre-educational complexes as part of the national project “Culture”. For the current stage of project implementation, refer to the video review (click to view).

The works are underway on two sites – Eastern and Western. The main forces of builders are concentrated on the construction of buildings on the Eastern site – for three out of six buildings, the percentage of completion of in situ concrete works and internal masonry work exceeds 95 %. These buildings are educational building of the choreographic academy, boarding school for students of the choreographic academy, and boarding school for students of the specialised middle school of music. In 2019, branches of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography and the Central Music School at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory have already begun their work in Kaliningrad, and after the educational centre is built on Oktyabrsky Island, teachers and students will move to new buildings. In parallel to this, interior furnishing of premises started, roofing works are underway, construction of service housing continues on the Eastern site. It is planned to start works on the installation of internal utility networks of all objects of the educational complex in the immediate future.

By the end of 2023, branches of the Bolshoi Theatre and the State Tretyakov Gallery will begin work on the Western site. On February 25, the foundation stone ceremony of the construction of one of the main cultural centres of the country was held at the site. Currently, 100% of the planned volume of piles, 4541 sets, has already been driven into the museum footing. Each set consists of two piles 10 and 12 meters long. The joint between two components was carried out according to Finnish technology of Leimet ABB PLUS pin-jointed connection, which guarantees a strong connection due to the patented locking parts.
