The layout of the construction of the motor road and new exits in the Odintsovo district

Stroytransgaz JSC continues the construction of the motor road within the section “Rublevsky Proezd – New exit to Moscow Ring Road from  M1 “Belarus” Moscow–Minsk” federal highway on the instructions of the Governor of the Moscow Region, Andrei Vorobyov. The project owner is the State Public Institution “Road Construction Administration” controlled by the Department for Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of Moscow Region, and the chief designer is VTM Dorproekt Stolitsa LLC.

The section of the new road originates in the area of Residential Complex “Romashkovo” and ends at the junction with Chistyakova Street in Odintsovo. According to the design documentation, which is 93% complete , , the completion of the main works is scheduled for quarter 4 2020, taking into account the forced downtime caused by COVID-2019 measures in April. Construction work was resumed on May 18, 2020.

In June 2019, Stroytransgaz JSC entered into a contract with State Public Institution “Road Construction Administration” for the construction of  a new turnpike, designed to reduce the flow of transit transport in Nemchinovka and Romashkov     , and   provide exit from the Trekhgorka microdistrict to the Northern Moscow-bound detour of Odintsovo.  At the exit from Trekhgorka and Romashkovo it is planned to install toll collection points (TCP) both in the direction of Moscow Ring Road and Moscow Province. The distance from exits to the Moscow Ring Road will be 4.5 km.

At the moment, residents of Romashkovo and Nemchinovka have the only option to travel towards Moscow – along Moskovskaya street of Nemchinovka settlement, which causes severe traffic jams in this road section. Construction of a new motor road will provide direct exit from new residential neighbourhoods to the Moscow Ring Road. The expected traffic capacity of the road will exceed 70,000 vehicles per day.

The total length of the road with the transport junction ramps will make 4.2 km. The length of the newly constructed section will make about 1.5 km, that of the ramps will make 2.3 km and two ring crossings will be about 400 m long. The project includes construction of a two-lane overpass over M-1 “Belarus” highway with a length of 94.8 m. It is also planned to carry out reconstruction of utility networks, installation of two toll collection points, noise screens, retaining walls, street lighting system, surface drainage and nine corrugated culverts.

Construction of support No. 2 of the overpass across the M-1 “Belarus” highway

For more effective implementation of the construction project, three subcontracting companies were engaged: “Road and Bridge Design Institute” LLC for the development of detailed design documentation, “ExpressStroy”LLC  for construction and installation work on the overpass and  “Region-Service” LLC for clearing of 3 hectares of land. Every day, about 30 people come to the construction site, including: 15 workers, 8 machine operators, 2 surveyors, 2 line engineering technicians and the like. In addition, the facilities engage 10 construction equipment units: 1 bulldozer, 1 roller, 1 four-wheel-drive Kamaz, 2 excavators, 2 truck cranes, 1 compressor, 2 GAZelle vehicles.

At the moment, work is underway for the construction of a monolithic grillage and the support body of the overpass  over  the Northern detour of Odintsovo. Also, STG JSC completed the construction of the subgrade of the main route of the road, removed utility lines falling within the work area, arranged embankments which are 30% complete, including a a sand embankment for the main route which is a 100% complete. Retaining walls out of box-shaped gabions are 70% complete and are being built between the main route and  C1 exit due to a big elevation difference, and sewage is 25% complete. At the end of August, builders will start preassembly and installation of the overpass span.

“The builders plan to complete this project by the end of the year and ensure the exit of vehicles from Trekhgorka to the Northern detour. Work will be carried out based on a tighter schedule. Some work, perhaps will be carried out round the clock, ” - went on to add  the head of the Odintsovo city district  ,  Andrei Ivanov.

Within three months, builders will make up for the schedule slippage caused by the epidemiological situation in the country and will complete basic construction works, such as an overpass and road  construction from the side of Trekhgorka, by the end of 2020.
