JSC Stroytransgaz is implementing the final stage of construction of one of the top priority projects in the Moscow Region: a multilevel traffic interchange at the crossing of the Volokolamskoye and Ilyinskoye highways in Krasnogorsk. The project is executed under the state program of the Moscow Region “Development and Operation of the Traffic Complex” with financing from the regional road fund.

We present you a video review of the construction of the Krasnogorsk interchange, autumn 2020.

The project execution is at the final stage. The full completion of the multilevel transport infrastructure is planned for Q4 2020.

As part of the final construction stage of a multi-level interchange in Krasnogorsk a new pedestrian overpass was opened on July 7. The pedestrian overpass was constructed to meet the conditions of accessible environment and allows residents of the Krasnogorsk district to cross the Ilyinskoe highway safely. Due to the pedestrian overpass and the traffic lights shut down the traffic on Ilyinskoye highway became safer and faster.

Road marking

Currently, as a part of the project, the compensatory plantation in Krasnogorsk district is near completion. In addition, improvements are ongoing – laying of lawns with seeding grass, spreading asphalt coat; road marking of the interchange exits (Volokolamskoe, Ilyinskoe, Penyaginskoe highways); installation of pedestrian guardrails and barrier railings of exits, pavement construction of exits at Penyaginskoye and Ilyinskoye highways.

Interesting facts and figures about the multi-level transport interchange at the intersection of Volokolamskoye and Ilyinskoye highways in Krasnogorsk:

• 22,000 m³ of concrete were required for the interchange construction;
• 7 800 tons of steel structures;
• 140,000 m² of asphalt were laid;
• 4 overpasses, 1 bridge, 2 above-ground and 1 underground pedestrian crossings were built
• 30 km of communications were reconstructed;
• new comfortable sidewalks were built.

The new interchange allowed to resolve tough road situation in Krasnogorsk, it increased the traffic capacity of the Volokolamskoye highway for both ways to Moscow and back. On top of the new road infrastructure, the roadways were widened: six lanes from the Volokolamskoye highway, four from the Ilyinskoye highway and two from the Penyaguinskoe highway. At the intersection of Volokolamskoye, Ilyinskoye and Penyaginskoe highways, 4 overpasses and more than 15 exits of the 9-km interchange with the traffic 80 thousand cars per day appeared at the place of the traffic controlled junction.
