Gelendzhik is a popular resort at the Black Sea coast in Krasnodar Territory. The town takes in a quarter of the region’s total tourist flow: more than 4 million people a year. Being aware of the environmental uniqueness of the Black Sea as well as the stringent requirements for construction in the resort town area, STG takes a number of environment protection measures to prevent and reduce the negative impact on the environment. Environmental control is conducted regularly, and the quality of atmospheric air and marine environment, water biological resources, and plant life is examined.

Execution of the project for construction of onshore and offshore infrastructure facilities will play an important social and economic role in the town development, as the created comfortable environment will allow to raise the level of the town’s appeal for tourists, which, in turn, will have a favourable effect on the town economy and the people’s life quality, as well as will promote the development of the maritime transport routes of the coastal region.
