The construction of cultural and educational complex ordered by Social and Cultural Projects Fund National Cultural Heritage continues in Vladivostok. Construction workers of Stroytransgaz-Vostok LLC install internal and external utility systems, glazing at the facilities and are preparing to commence works on the Aksakovskaya Street site.

In March, STG-Vostok employees made over 5,000 square meters of sand-cement floor screeds in the general education center, installed 4,000 square meters of plasterboard partitions and started glazing the facility.

5,000 square meters of plasterboard partitions were installed in the building of the branch of Moscow State Academy of Choreography, roofing works were also completed there; in total, 4,000 square meters of the roof were made.

The installation of windows in the boarding school for students of the Special School of Musichas been completed, a heating main has been laid to the Academy of Choreography and the boarding school for its students.

Glazing of 3 apartment buildings and a hostel for students of the Higher School is underway.

External electrical networks of construction works are connected to city power networks. Moreover, to meet the requirements for joining the city water utility networks, a water pipeline has already been laid to the boundaries of the construction site.

Construction of retaining reinforced concrete walls designed to strengthen the slopes is in progress. The educational complex is located in a hilly area, so seven retaining walls with a total length of more than 1 km will be constructed here.

Work is underway to equip the construction site in Aksakovskaya Street; fences, temporary buildings are being installed, temporary roads are being constructed, engineering protection works are in full swing on the construction site.

As a reminder, a large-scale cultural cluster in Vladivostok will be located on two sites.

An educational complex with a total building area of over 90,000 sq.m will be located on Russky Island. It will integrate an educational complex combining an Educational Centre for 550 seats with a canteen and a swimming pool, a branch of the Central Music School at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the Choreographic Academy, a branch of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography. The educational buildings and boarding schools for students will be interconnected by winterized "aerial" passages.

Additionally, the site will comprise a dormitory for 150 beds, two boarding schools for students of educational institutions and three apartment buildings for teachers and artists.

At the construction of all structures, engineers has considered frequent temperature fluctuations, possible tsunamis, and seismic vibrations, which happen from time to time in the region.

In Aksakovskaya Street, branches of the country's largest museums, including the Hermitage, the Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, and a branch of the Mariinsky Theater will be located.

The customer of the project is Social and Cultural Projects Fund National Cultural Heritage. The general contractor for the construction of cultural and educational complexes is Stroytransgaz JSC.

When the construction of the cultural and educational complex is completed, almost two million residents of Primorsky Territory and adjacent regions, including the PRC, Japan and the Republic of Korea, will be able to get acquainted with the best examples of Russian art without the need to travel across Russia. For many talented people from the Far East, the complex will become the first step towards the development of their creative abilities and a stepping stone to international recognition.

According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the new cultural development centre in Vladivostok will be a spiritual growth centre and one of the cultural oases of Russia.

"It is very important that people, wherever they live, feel that they are part of a huge country and part of its culture, so that they can provide their children with the opportunity to practice choreography, singing and music," said Vladimir Putin.
