The next superstructure launching stage of the bridge across the Chusovaya river is completed

Stroytransgaz JSC has completed the next superstructure launching stage of the bridge across the Chusovaya river in Perm. A large metal structure has been advanced towards the right bank of the river by another 75 meters and now rests on the third pier of the future bridge. Thus, the total length of the launched part of the superstructure is 172 meters, the total length of the bridge superstructure after the launching will be 1,506 meters.
Stroytransgaz JSC has completed the next superstructure launching stage of the bridge across the Chusovaya river in Perm. A large metal structure has been advanced towards the right bank of the river by another 75 meters and now rests on the third pier of the future bridge. Thus, the total length of the launched part of the superstructure is 172 meters, the total length of the bridge superstructure after the launching will be 1,506 meters.
The launching accuracy is monitored by the geodetic service of JSC Stroytransgaz, the compilation survey position of the metal structures is confirmed with high-precision geodetic instruments.
Then, assembling of the next sections will continue on the service bridge (a dedicated equipped site). As sections become ready, they will be connected to each other and also launched towards the right bank up to the 5th support. The rest of the span structure will be launched till the bridge pier over from the right bank towards the left bank, also up to the 5th pier.
In addition, the construction of nine piers of the future bridge is underway. The construction of the flyover is underway at the intersection of the Eastern Bypass with Tsimlyanskaya Street, temporary roads, culverts and the subgrade of the main route of the highway are constructed. In early August, Stroytransgaz Group has completed and commissioned the first flyover phase near Palniki railway station, the constructors will soon start to dismantle the previous flyover.
About the Project:
The bridge over the Chusovaya river under construction will be a part of Moscow - Kazan - Perm - Khanty-Mansiysk - Surgut - Tomsk transport corridor. The commissioning of the facility will eliminate traffic jams at the Chusovaya river crossing and improve transport communication. The project provides for the reconstruction of interchange in the area of Palniki village; new interchanges will appear at the intersection of Solikamsk highway with Korsunskaya Street, as well as between the Eastern Bypass and Tsimlyanskaya Street. The new bridge will be the twin to the existing one. It will be located at a distance of 18 meters from the existing bridge. The length of the four-lane bridge under construction will be 1.5 km, and 9.2 km together with accesses to it.
