The first asphalt pavement is made on the Eastern Bypass section as part of the reconstruction of Chusovaya Bridge

The first asphalt pavement is made from 0 to 4th km of the Eastern Bypass reconstructed by Stroytransgaz as part of the project for the construction of Chusovaya Bridge and access roads to it in Perm. Here, constructors are expanding the existing road from two to four lanes.

The next step is to replace the existing road surface. The works will be performed with a lane reversal and allow not to stop the traffic during the expansion of the route. The roadbed is designed for the traffic density of 39,000 vehicles a day. At the final stage, the constructors will install a side stone, shoulders and crash barriers.

The Eastern bypass road, is about 190 km long. It is a key route for freight traffic in Perm Territory and a promising North-South and East-West federal corridor. The capacity of the highway is increased within the framework of the Safe and High-Quality Roads national project.

In parallel, the workers continue the construction of the Chusovaya Bridge. At the same time, 9 piers are being erected, the next section of the superstructure is assembled. It has already been launched to the right bank of the river by 172 meters. The construction of the flyover is underway at the intersection of the Eastern Bypass with Tsimlyanskaya Street, temporary roads and culverts. The constructors will soon start to dismantle the previous flyover near Palniki railway station.

About the Project:

The bridge over the Chusovaya river under construction will be a part of Moscow - Kazan - Perm - Khanty-Mansiysk - Surgut - Tomsk transport corridor. The commissioning of the facility will eliminate traffic jams at the Chusovaya river crossing and improve transport communication. The project provides for the reconstruction of interchange in the area of Palniki village; new interchanges will appear at the intersection of Solikamsk highway with Korsunskaya Street, as well as between the Eastern Bypass and Tsimlyanskaya Street. The new bridge will be the twin to the existing one. It will be located at a distance of 18 meters from the existing bridge. The length of the four-lane bridge under construction will be 1.5 km, and 9.2 km together with accesses to it.
