JSC Stroytransgaz Concludes New Contracts in Health Care

JSC Stroytransgaz will perform works for construction of three feldsher-midwife stations designed for 25 visits per shift in Khabarovsk Krai. The work has been commissioned by the State Public Institution (KGKU) “Customer Service of the Ministry of Construction of the Khabarovsk Territory”. The works will cost approximately RUB 122.5 million. The construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2021.

New health stations will be arranged in the villages of Marusino (Shkolnaya Street), Pushkino (Kommunisticheskaya Street), and Fedorovka (Zelenaya Street). The same facility-construction works will be performed in each area.

The feldsher-midwife stations will be arranged as one-storey buildings consisting of two units each. The first unit designed for seeing patients will comprise a lobby/waiting room, an initial examination room, a medical treatment room, a room for patients’ temporary stay prior to hospital admission, a drug storage facility, utility rooms, a staff room with a changing and locker area, and a WC facility. The second unit will house permanent accommodation for health care personnel.

The existing utility lines will be relocated prior to commencement of construction, and new ones will be laid in the course of works. The stations will be provided with power and water supply, as well as sewage system, heating, ventilation, communication line cables, closed circuit television system, and security alarm.

Access roads and pavements will be constructed and a car park will be arranged for patients’ convenience. Ramps and tactile paving will be provided, in order to allow people with reduced mobility to easily access the feldsher-midwife station.

Medical equipment and furniture will be delivered to the stations at the final stage of construction. Land improvement and landscaping of the surrounding area will be performed, with laying out of lawns and flower-beds, as well as tree-planting.

The feldsher-midwife stations are intended for primary or emergency medical assistance, diagnostics, and uncomplicated or chronic disease management. Here, one can be referred for outpatient or other tests, as well as receive medical treatment in accordance with medical prescriptions, for example have a dressing applied or get an injection. Besides that, feldshers can write prescriptions for drugs.

Construction of the feldsher-midwife stations is carried out as part of the national “Health Care” project and the federal “Primary Care System Development” project. The national project provides for construction of two oncology centres in the Tomsk and Kostroma Regions, as well as of five oncology wings in Mordovia, Khakassia, Bashkortostan, Volgograd and Lipetsk Regions before 2024. Plans also call for a complete refurbishment of more than 600 of the country’s vascular centres, as well as for arrangement of about 1,500 new feldsher-midwife stations and 1,300 mobile health units.
