About 4,000 Meters of Utilities Installed by Employees of Stroytransgaz Siberia JSC as Part of Dormitory Construction

About 4,000 meters of utilities were installed by employees of Stroytransgaz Siberia JSC as part of the construction of a 7-floor dormitory for 240 students of the Higher School of Music and Theatre Arts in Kemerovo.

The construction of pipelines for sewerage networks, water supply and heat supply networks was completed. The total length of the utilities was 615.5 meters (including heating, 207 meters).

During the installation, all the details were taken into account: for easy maintenance and containment in the event of an accident, the connection to the city water supply and heat supply networks has been provided using shut-off valves made of high test cast iron with a rubberized wedge of its operational part. The service life of such valve is more than 25 years.

To ensure access and operational control, a solid cast reinforced concrete box was installed at the point of connection to networks, and 24 wells were made.

Sewer networks are made of polyethylene pipes (with a service life of more than 50 years) and high test cast iron pipes that can withstand heavy loads.

Water supply networks are made of steel with a two-layer polymer coating for enhanced waterproofing increasing the service life and preventing pipeline corrosion.

The project provides for a remote monitoring system for insulation of external heating networks. It enables to continuously monitor the integrity of the thermal insulation layer made of polyurethane foam and, if necessary, quickly and accurately locate the place of damage to contain and mitigate the accident.

To reduce the consumption of thermal energy, shut-off and control valves were installed at heating devices, including valves with thermostatic elements.

The heating pipelines are laid across the dormitory by an underground trenchless method, they are encased in steel pipes in a no-go prefabricated reinforced concrete channel. Some pipes run through the building structures in the basement of the building. The individual heating station is equipped with heat and water consumption meters, automated equipment, thermal control and adjustment devices not requiring the constant operator intervention.

The installation of the internal heating system is 95% complete. The systems are being adjusted. Internal ventilation systems are 90% installed.

The installation of In-house sewer, water supply and heating networks is near to complete. Their total length will be 3,320 m.

The installation of the device designed to increase the water pressure for fire extinguishing and water supply, ventilation and smoke removal systems has been completed, and fire detectors have been installed.

The dormitory of the Siberian campus of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts is a part of the Siberian Cultural Complex, one of the four new cultural centres (Vladivostok, Kemerovo, South Russia, Kaliningrad). The task to create them was set by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in his Address to the Federal Assembly in 2018 and specified in the Executive Order On National Goals and Strategic Objectives of Development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2024.

The Siberian Arts Complex includes: the Opera and Ballet Theatre, branch of the State Academic Mariinsky Theatre; Museum and Exhibition Centre, Branch of Russian Museum; Kuzbass Art Centre, including a Cinema and Concert Complex; Siberian Campus of the Russian State Scenic Art Institute; School of Creative Industries; Branch of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography; The Siberian Branch of the Central School of Music at Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, a museum depository, two residential houses and a student dormitory.
