Stroytransgaz completes the construction of a gas pipeline in Perm Province ahead of schedule

Stroytransgaz has completed the construction and commissioned the inter-settlement gas pipeline in the Kuedinsky district of Perm Province ahead of schedule — six months earlier than required by the contract. The pipeline runs through three settlements - the villages of Verkhnyaya Sava, Nizhnyaya Sava and the Central Estate of the 3rd State Factory. The new gas distribution networks was constructed in this district under the 2021-2025 Gas Supply and Gasification Development Program for the Russian Federation regions by Gazprom. The construction and installation was carried out by employees of STG and SU-7 RiTM.

Today, on October 28, the final stage of construction took place – tie-in of the built high-pressure gas pipeline. This gas pipeline with an overall length of 12.2km operating at 0.6 MPa will provide gas to 195 households, boiler houses and housing and utility complex, social, cultural and household facilities in the three communities.

The underground gas pipeline crosses eight water courses. There, the gas pipeline was installed using the directional drilling method using special mobile drilling rigs that carry out preliminary drilling along a predetermined trajectory followed by expanding the borehole and pulling pipelines into the resulting space, while continuously monitoring the drilling process and making appropriate adjustments to the route during its construction. Such works are particularly difficult and require extremely thorough engineering preparation of the project. Additionally, the builders completed the construction of related infrastructure, including gas regulation stations with lightning protection.

Remote control equipment has been installed and fully configured at the site. The system of automated devices with the help of special sensors will record the variables necessary for a smooth and proper operation of the gas pipeline and transmit them to the control room, allowing for remote monitoring of processes.

This system will also allow automatic control of stations, systems, process equipment providing gas supply to the gas distribution networks in the required amount and to specifications.

The installed equipment increases the safety and operational reliability of the gas supply system due to a more responsive control and prevention of accidents.
