Video review of construction of the bridge across the Chusovaya river in Perm Province (November 2021)
Here is a video review of construction the bridge across the Chusovaya river in Perm Province that will become a part of the Moscow–Kazan–Perm–Khanty-Mansiysk–Surgut– Tomsk transport corridor.

the construction has reached an important milestone - the bridge superstructure steel structures have been completely pushed in place from the left bank. The massive steel structure weighing 1,100 tons has been pushed the remaining 83.4 meters towards the right bank of the river and is now resting on the fifth pier of the future bridge. The total length of the pushed portion of the superstructure is 330.4m. The next stage will be to lower the pushed superstructure onto the supporting parts, and to install the carriageway slab and the deck.

The rest of the superstructure will now be pushed onto the bridge piers from the right bank towards the left bank, also up to the 5th pier. On the right bank, the superstructure is already being assembled. Once pushed in place, the total length of the bridge superstructure will be 1,506 meters.

At the same time, the intermediate piers of the future bridge are being erected: columns of piers 8 and 9 and footings of piers 6-7 and 10-13 are being installed. The piers are being constructed using 150-180-ton cranes and river vessels and auxiliary bridges. Fragments of steel and concrete remaining in the river since the first phase of the bridge construction cause additional difficulty during the installation of piles and sheet pile pits. Structures found are being lifted from the bottom and disposed of, which requires additional time. The river bottom is constantly being examined by divers, who have spent more than 400 hours underwater since the beginning of the year.

The construction of the overpass at the crossing of the Eastern Bypass with Tsimlyanskaya Street is ongoing: all 7 supports have been built, the superstructures are being pre-fabricated.
Near the Palniki railway station, work is continuing to install the supports of a new right-hand overpass.

Installation of the pavement continues on the main course of the road - bituminous concrete already covers more than 70% of the left-hand highway. Culverts, storm drains and cable ducts are also being installed here.

Project background:

The bridge over the Chusovaya river under construction will be part of the Moscow - Kazan - Perm - Khanty-Mansiysk - Surgut - Tomsk transport corridor. When commissioned, the bridge will eliminate jams at the Chusovaya river crossing and ease the traffic. The project provides for the reconstruction of interchange near the village of Palniki; new interchanges will appear at the intersection of Solikamsk highway with Korsunskaya Street, as well as between the Eastern Bypass and Tsimlyanskaya Street. The new bridge will be a twin to the existing one. It will be located 18 meters away from the existing bridge. The length of the four-lane bridge under construction will be 1.5 km, and 9.2 km, including the approaches.
