50 young musicians and 142 dancers who will study in the new complex shared their first creative ideas with Valery Gergiev. The event took place in the new concert hall of the cluster.

"I liked this hall, it is spacious and high as it is important for both ballet dancers and musicians. I hope that we will open a unique cultural cluster in two years and everything will look in the future, our children will have the opportunity to have an excellent education in our country. I would like to share my dream to stage Musorgsky's Khovanshchina at a new theatre here in Kemerovo, I cannot imagine a better gift for any Russian region. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn and love the history of your country through the greatest works. Poets and writers, composers did a great job to create and develop the traditions of Russian performing and musical arts. Traditions will grow with the help of the regions. I would like to wish great success to everyone who will study here," said Valery Gergiev.

As part of a tour of Siberia, the ensemble led by Valery Gergiev performed in Kemerovo. Symphonic works of Russian and foreign composers were presented to the Kuzbass public.

"Many people only know that Kuzbass is a coal producing region. The new cultural cluster will make it a renowned major cultural centre in Russia. The theatre in Kemerovo is built with a long-lasting history in mind. And the human will be at the heart of it. I am sure that here many local children will become wonderful musicians and dancers to make Kuzbass and perhaps the entire country famous and will delight people with their art works. The main thing is that we will create all the necessary conditions for them, including a powerful training base and a world-class theatre. Now we are pioneers and we can make it happen," said the Governor Sergei Tsivilev.

Today, the classrooms and dormitories of the Academy of Choreography have been approved for commissioning. The cultural & educational complex includes a concert hall and a training theatre so that the students can rehearse and perform in the conditions that are as close as possible to the stage conditions.
