The Primorye Governor Holds a Working Meeting To Discuss MTEC Construction in Vladivostok

A working meeting on the construction of a museum, cultural and educational centre chaired by Primorye Governor Oleg Kozhemyako was held in Vladivostok. Stroytransgaz Vostok was represented at the meeting by General Director Igor Volkunovich, the meeting was also attended by Natalya Volynskaya, President of the National Cultural Heritage Foundation, representatives of the Primorye Government and institutions whose branches will be part of the centre.

According to the Director of Stroytransgaz Vostok, construction is progressing as planned at both sites, on the mainland and the island part of the city. For example, the landscaping of the centre, interior finish, installation of utilities, elevator and process equipment and installation of facades are now nearing completion on Russky Island.

The works at Aksakovskaya are also progressing as planned.

During the meeting, the Artistic Director and General Director of the Mariinsky Theatre Valery Gergiev emphasised the need to arrange trips to the cultural and educational centre for schoolchildren from different municipalities of Primorye Territory, especially from remote towns and villages. Children should see live opera and ballet performances and, of course, learn that they can study ballet and the art of playing various musical instruments in their home region.

Primorye Minister of Education Natalya Bondarenko highlighted that these issued are already being tackled. Teachers and children travel to cultural institutions in Vladivostok. As soon as the cultural and educational centre starts functioning, schoolchildren from all over Primorye will become its regular visitors.

Primorye Governor Oleg Kozhemyako emphasized that the centre which will visited by lots of children and adults every day must have an on-site medical office. So he instructed the regional Ministry of Health accordingly, stating that several rooms should be provided in the office so that there is both an examination room and a treatment room so that people could be immediately administered first aid.

Natalya Volynskaya, President of the National Cultural Heritage Foundation, in turn, noted that a large parking lot is planned at the site, so employees and parents driving their children to school or visitors of institutions located here do not have to worry that there will be no parking space.
