Stroytransgaz is continuing the construction of a cultural and educational centre on Russky Island in Vladivostok. Facade and finishing works, installation of MEP are in full swing. About 1,300 workers work in two shifts at the sites day and night, every day 100 to 130 units of machinery are engaged at the site, including cranes, loaders, excavators, dump trucks, tractors, rollers etc.

With the onset of cold weather in Primorye Territory, most operations at the site moved indoors; employees of STG-Vostok prudently installed the shell, core and utilities at all facilities in the fall and are now engaged in interior finishing in comfortable temperature conditions.

By late December, the staff plastered more than 71,000 square meters of walls​​, puttied over about 67,000 square meters of walls and 18,000 square meters of ceilings. Painting of the walls and ceiling is continuing; in total, more than 33,000 square meters of surfaces have been painted. 

In the swimming pool of the educational centre, the workers finished tiling the walls with high-quality glazed tiles and now the process of equipping pool bowls, installing water supply systems and water treatment equipment is in progress.

In the building of the Academy of Choreography, rough finishing is almost complete and now the premises are gradually taking their final shape. In ballet halls, the floor underlay made using professional shock-absorbing technology is being installed. The walls are carefully finished with special glass wallpaper; progress over the past month amounts to 50% out of the total of 10,000 m².

The installation of street lighting poles in the cluster is nearing completion. 185 poles have already been hooked up, this is 90% of the total. In addition, power engineers are connecting individual heating plants to the grid to ensure consistent temperature in the cluster premises. The performance testing of heat and water supply systems in all buildings of the centre and commissioning of internal electrical systems in the Academy of Choreography, the educational centre and the boarding school for students of the secondary music school is underway. 

To recap, Stroytransgaz Group builds cultural & educational complexes in Vladivostok and three other Russian cities on behalf of the National Cultural Heritage Foundation for Social and Cultural Projects by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin. In Vladivostok, a large-scale cultural cluster will be located on two sites. It is designed by GORKA Group.

An educational complex is being built on Russky Island, its total building area is more than 90 thousand square metres. It will combine an educational centre for 550 students with a canteen and a swimming pool, a branch of the Central Music School at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, and the Choreographic Academy, a branch of Moscow State Academy of Choreography. Educational buildings and boarding facilities will be interconnected by warm air passages. Also on this site, a dormitory with beds for 150 students is being built, as well as two boarding facilities of educational institutions and three apartment buildings for teachers and artists.

STG-Vostok will build a large-scale museum and theatre centre in Aksakovskaya street. It will house branches of the country's largest museums, including the Hermitage, the Tretyakov Gallery and a branch of the Mariinsky Theatre.

At the construction of all structures, engineers has considered frequent temperature fluctuations, possible tsunamis, and seismic vibrations, which happen from time to time in the region. According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the new cultural development centre in Vladivostok will be a spiritual growth centre and one of the cultural oases of Russia.
